MISSION STATEMENT

To offer Christ to all through the development of new churches and the transformation of stagnant and dying congregations into fruitful and spiritually faithful dynamic mission posts of the advancing kingdom of God.

VISION

To start new congregations every year that reach out offering Christ to all to diverse groups within the bounds of The Southwest Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church; to help United Methodist become the preferred choice of faithful and fruitful mainline congregations in Southwest Texas. Grow vibrant new congregations; revitalize and transform existing congregations to reach out to their community with the love and hope of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The Executive Director for New Church Development and Transformation is a key point person for the Bishop and Cabinet of the Southwest Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church in designing and implementing ministries to fulfill the Conference mission of offering Christ to all. His primary focus is two-fold:

1. The planting, nurturing and development of new United Methodist Churches

2. Assisting churches in the Southwest Texas Conference in transformation to become healthy holistic outreach churches offering Christ to all. _____________________________________________________________
