1. Becoming evangelistic in our faith sharing
1. Women’s Retreat - designed to focus on Faith Sharing
2. Narrative Budget - utilize faith stories
3. Website – share faith stories of members of the congregation

 

1. Strengthening our evangelistic presence in the community
   1. Outreach to Lamar Middle School: including open-gym in Great Hall and Tutoring program at LMS.
   2. Risk-Taking Mission Committee
   3. Support road races which run by SJUMC.  (i.e. water stop, music, support, etc)

 

1. Calling forth younger clergy
   1. Invite our young seminary students to share their ministry calling stories
   2. Expand young seminary student involvement in worship services
   3. Explore developing a ministry to maintain a connection with SJUMC members while they are in college

 

1. Developing disciples and leaders
   1. Provide lay leadership training in 2008
   2. Intentional creation of Stewardship Committee
   3. Establish a 3year programming plan for faith-deepening discipleship
